Cozy at the Office

Last week, that little bugger Phil said there was going to be six more weeks of winter.  He wasn’t lying – IT’S STILL COLD OUT THERE.  Though the spring lines are already hitting the stores, I still have a need to curl up in a soft cozy sweater, especially at work.  Admittedly, it’s hard to find a look that’s both professional and cozy.  FEAR YOU NOT.

The key is to pair cozy with something that is more structured.  I treated this sweater as a long jacket – layering it over a soft black t-shirt (more comfy-ness) and a pencil skirt (less comfy but professional).  You could also could wear it over any fitted black dress.  Cinching it at the waist, gives it shape and less frumpy.  I added a little texture with the velvet dot tights and finished the look with some killer heels, creating the ultimate comfy-goes-to-the-office look.

I love the contrast of soft & cozy with the tough, structured belt.

Those tights are so cute! I envy everyone who actually gets to dress cozy this winter. Winter has been non-existent here in San Diego!

Crushing on those polka dot tights — so cute! I’m super bummed about winter being here and continuing; I’m so over the cold weather and ready to not be bundled up all the time.

I’m ready for spring too! If nothing else, so I don’t have to be uncomfortable under 3 layers of clothing.

Such a nice look on you! My office is always cold so even in the summer I’m wearing a sweater. Right now when I walk past the bathing suits in Target and I can’t even imagine wearing one haha!
