I curated two holiday gift guides this year – this one, geared around small/smaller businesses (I’m never sure when a business shifts from small to large) and one that includes items from your larger, more mainstream stores. Hopefully, these guides will help with your holiday shopping for others… Or maybe to create your own wish list for things you’re getting yourself like I am. 🙂
Sezane Lucie Silk Top. There is just something so luxurious about gifting silk. This top is a beautiful foundation piece that anyone would love.
Ana Luisa’s Reversible Cari Necklace. Create a whole look by adding this necklace with the Sezane Silk top.
Moglea’s Cloth Book Prue – Both functional and a piece of art, each notebook is handpainted, making it a one of a kind gift. Watching their process on Instagram was mesmerizing – ASMR levels.
Ceramics + Theory’s fuuuuck cup – We’ve all said. We’ve all meant it. If 2020 had a motto, this would be it. Why not have a hand-thrown ceramic cup/vase that is just as beautiful as it is crass (but accurate).
Print Fresh’s Bagheera Short Sleep Set – Pajamas for Christmas feels a little “done,” but I’ve lusted after this sleep set for a while. I’m starting to reconsider the idea of “getting dressed” for bed, in cute little matching pajama sets or maybe even a nightgown? *gasp* It also comes in a bunch of different colors and styles.
Candlefish’s Candle Flight: Candlefish is my go-to candle. They have the most interesting scents without being overwhelming. I love that they have little “flights” of candles, packaged up and ready to send to your near and dear for your socially distant celebrations this year… I picked the “Sweater Weather” set, but my all-time favorite is No. 100 – Green Grapes, Muguet, Vetiver.
Piecework’s Winner Winner Puzzle: The dork in me so happy that puzzles are in vogue again, and boy, have they come a long way. Piecework puzzles are super modern and intricate. I bought the Tchotchke puzzle earlier this year, and I stayed up late way too many nights in a row, absorbed/obsessed. Now I’m eyeing the 1,000 piece Winner Winner and Power Lunch. These puzzles are no joke, so if you need something “easier,” the 500 piece Disco Queen is super fun too.
Merlette’s Chelsea Dress. Founded by a woman and based in Brooklyn, Merlette creates timeless dresses with beautiful, natural fabrics. I invested in one of their dresses this year, making me want to twirl all the time. Also, love the Addison Sweater Dress for winter.
Shapes’ No. 11 Mask Chain. Here’s a present brought to you by 2020 – the mask chain. Where sunglass straps were considered dorky, the mask chain got a serious upgrade in gold with a handmade beaded charm. It also makes for a beautiful necklace, when masks are no longer a norm.
In Good Taste’s Wine Flight. Finding a way to distantly celebrate the holidays with friends has been challenging. Not wanting to set it up just another zoom happy hour, I really like the idea of a curated tasting flight of wines. Plus, the labels are really cute.
Jamie Beck’s #IsolationCreation Poster Series. My favorite thing to come out of this pandemic is watching Jamie Beck create and photograph her still lifes that reflect various moments of her lockdown in a small town in France. You can’t go wrong with any poster, beautifully framed.
Heirloom Art Co.’s Minature Flower Press. I used to love pressing flowers in between the pages of books as a kid. This flower press is the adult upgrade to memorialize the beautiful things you find outdoors.
Tataborello’s Gilda Necklace – I’m obsessed with this vintage-inspired necklace that’s handmade in Italy. It would go perfectly with a t-shirt dress.
Appointed Notebook. I’ve been a fan of the whole Appointed suite since day one. I personally use their planners, but the Journal for Change is an excellent gift for anyone. Plus, 100% of this journal’s proceeds support BEAM, The Loveland Foundation, and Conscious Kid.
RBG Ornament from Etsy. I usually pick up an ornament while on vacation. Since there was no travel this year, I decided to pay homage to my homegirl, RBG, instead. Can’t wait to add her to my tree.
Omsom’s Starter Bundle. If I were to have a love langue, it would be food. I could probably do a whole gift guide just around food-related items (maybe next year?) This starter set of Asian sauces, aromatics, and seasonings from Omsom will kick-start. Bonus points for fun branding.
