I’m super excited to see plaid and power suits making a strong comeback this season. I mean, it fulfills every one of my 90s sitcom dreams, à la Ally McBeal / the Practice.
But more than that, I’ve always been an admirer of menswear (obsessed, even). I love that this jacket feels like I borrowed it from the boys – from the double breasted buttons, longer length, to the structured shoulder. However, it still perfectly nips in at the waist, flattering the feminine figure. I keep the rest of the look simple: a white tee and black skinnies with flat black ankle booties. I continued the menswear inspiration with the large all-black watch, counterbalanced with the structured but feminine statement earrings.

I am in LOVE with that blazer! I’m always on the hunt for some playful ones, since I’m growing tired of my standard white, navy, and black, so I’m definitely going to look into investing in that or something similar!
YES! I love this blazer BECAUSE it’s not white, navy, or black (though, it actually has a bit of all of those colors). It’s super fun and you can easily dress it up or dress it down, depending on necessity.
