I use December as an excuse to wear all things glittery and a New Year’s Eve outfit is an obvious outlet. I’ve celebrated the incoming new year in every way possible – from a quiet night in watching Dick Clark count down the seconds, all the way to a big blow out party with Coolio and Soul Asylum. There was even one year where a group of us decided to hit up Toronto. Not our finest moment because it was FREEZING, but that just meant that we spent several hours curled up in bed watching Canadian MTV. And I have to admit, it was still memorable. 🙂
This year, I have no idea what I will be up to, but at least I have an outfit! What I love most about this is how effortless it is – black sequined skinnies with a simple white silk blouse and a subtle red lip. DONE. I think black and white is so timeless and chic, appropriate for just about any event. It’s usually my go-to color palette for every occasion.
I also decided to play up the shine in the pants, by wearing a patent leather pumps instead of regular black leather shoes. It continues the effect and creates a longer leg line. The big statement earring are just the icing on the cake!
(Really excited about 2017 :D)
