It’s officially spring and there’s an impending doom hanging over DC as a snowstorm rages in. Ironic, don’t you think?
I’m excited by the prospects of having a snow day, which really just means I’m working from home on the sofa instead of an office cubicle. It also means I’ll probably make some grilled cheese and tomato soup. Cue the Campbell’s soup commercial. Despite all of this – I’m. So. Ready. For. Spring. Who’s with me?
Styling Tip –
I usually dress for the weather, instead of the season so I feel like 70% of my closet is built for a transitioning climate. This light knit sweater is a great solution, playing with a pastel spring color palette of pink and blue. But the bold stripe and the mix of black and white make it work year round. It’s another one of those pieces that I could see myself wearing through a couple of seasons – with shorts, skirts, or pants like I did here. To continue with the graphic feel of the sweater, I kept with the clean lines with the all-black Cluse watch and simple gold hoops. So simple but yet makes a statement.
