The french-girl style is certainly on the rise. Type in “how to dress..” into Google and the first thing you get is “…like a french woman.” Effortless, feminine, and romantic – it’s a beautiful style, though it’s not my usual aesthetic. However, it’s fun to play outside my usual ‘brand’ and lately I’ve been channeling my ‘inner-parsian.’
Right now, the must-have summer accessory seems to be the woven, straw bag. Normally, I find that straw bags err on the side of ‘cute’ and ‘country.’ However, the moment I saw this bag from Anthropologie, it was a match made in heaven. If I was ever going to do the straw bag – this would be it. Bold and geometric; natural but structured. It’s the perfect marriage. Who knows, maybe I’ll become a french-girl yet.
