Just because it’s spring, doesn’t mean you have to toss out all your dark colors in favor for an all floral and pastel wardrobe. The little black dress is classic and timeless, for a reason. Despite my obvious love affair with the color, even I’m finding that I want to lightening things up for the season.
Styling Tip –
Since I didn’t go ‘light’ on the color, I decided to go ‘light’ with the styling of this look. I left off all the accessories, keeping the outfit very simple. Like most of my favorite pieces in my closet, the delight is in the details.
I love the little “racing stripe” in the back vent It’s like this dress is the love child of Posh and Sporty Spice. I played off the white strip in the dress by pairing it with a set of white kitten-heeled slingbacks, which felt very light and spring-like. White shoes are still on trend for the seasons and I’m particularly loving the 80’s vibe I get with these shoes. I’m so in love that I’ve already repeated them from a post two weeks go.
