One of the hardest things to do is dressing for casual Fridays in the office. Ripped boyfriend jeans and off-the-shoulder blouses aren’t always accepted work wear. If it is, lucky you! But many of us work in more conservative workplaces, or at least have clients that may not be keen on a leather jacket covered in spikes.
However, it doesn’t mean you can’t embrace some of the season’s hottest trends. My personal favorite, one that I can’t seem to get enough of, is VELVET. I’ve had a love affair with velvet for years and the powers that be (you know, the fashion designers and magazine editors), have finally answered my call for MORE VELVET.
That’s why the moment I saw this jacket, I knew I had to have it. I loved the cut, color, and, of course, the fabric. It was the perfect amount of professional and comfortable. Paired with a simple off-white blouse (or, if you’re really feeling trendy and/or dramatic add a pussy-bowed blouse), cuffed jeans, neutral booties, and a vintage brooch for a little pizzazz, it answers the age old question of what to wear to the office on those casual days.
Happy Friday!
